AI in Architecture: New Professions Emerging, New Skills Required

Artificial intelligence (AI) greatly enhances the efficiency of work for architects and engineers, but it necessitates ongoing training and post-graduate development. Architectural firms must also focus on data collection and its appropriate utilization for future projects. AI is already being employed in designing solutions that incorporate various sustainable development options.

“To effectively harness AI, key skills such as data aggregation, technological solution testing, and their efficient implementation within teams become essential,” asserts Marcin Kosieniak of PM Projekt.

The market is witnessing a proliferation of technological solutions that leverage artificial intelligence in architectural and computational project work. Currently, the most common tasks associated with AI tools (such as Chat GPT) revolve around automating processes and significantly accelerating them.

Artificial intelligence (AI) supports ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives.

“Artificial intelligence offers an enormous field for architects and engineers, enabling them to design various scenarios more effectively and implement changes more efficiently. From an engineering standpoint, programming tools can provide significant time savings and reduce the potential for computational errors,” points out Marcin Kosieniak, MEP Specialist, PM Projekt.
